President’s Message – September 2025
Dear Friends -
It’s going to be a vintage fall for classical music in Kelowna. We hope you are as excited as we are about CMK’s season opener on Saturday, October 4 with Canadian pianist and composer Stewart Goodyear in recital. In November, Tafelmusik is in town for the first time in 10 years in what will certainly be the event of the season.
Record subscription sales for the new season!
Subscription sales now exceed 250 seats and we are thrilled to welcome a good number of new subscriber/members. If you are not yet a subscriber, you can still select your guaranteed seats for the rest of the season if you act quickly by going to theboxoffice.ca or by calling 250-469-8940.
A new subscription option!
For the 2025-26 Main Season, we’ve added an option for subscribers to select 5 of our 6 concerts if you like and still maintain your subscriber privileges. This option has proved attractive to a large group of subscribers and 5 concerts are only $260 (adult). This approach has also made a few additional seats available for single ticket purchasers in what is already a very well-sold season.
Purchase single tickets to your “must-hear” concerts now!
A very successful subscription campaign and the keen participation in our season by both UBC Okanagan and the Kelowna Community Music School means availability of single tickets to CMK shows will be limited this season. Act now to secure your seats to one or more of our terrific concerts this fall at theboxoffice.ca or call 250-469-8940. If you like to select your seats in person, Box Office hours are back to normal.
Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 23
Wonderful concerts don’t just happen. The Chamber Music Kelowna Society is a well-regarded presenting organization governed and managed by our very active Board of Directors. Members are the firm foundation of our Society and all subscribers are members under our bylaws. Please join us at this year’s AGM by responding to the Notice of which has been sent to members. It’s your opportunity for active participation in enhancing our cultural life and your interest will be greatly appreciated.
