President’s Letter – September 2026
Welcome to CMK’s 2026-27 Season!
The 2026-27 season launches on September 14th with James Ehnes and Andrew Armstrong, returning to Kelowna after six years. Their varied recital program includes Brahms and Bartok and a newly commissioned piece by Carmen Braden of Yellowknife. The evening, which is sponsored by Pushor Mitchell, concludes with a festive post-concert celebration for James’ 50th birthday in the RCA.
As I write this, there are 2 seats available in the MIT for next Monday so a sell-out is inevitable. Please recall that, if you are a ticket-holder but you can’t get to the concert at the last minute, we offer a ticket donation-and-resale policy with a tax receipt issued to the purchaser. Call the Box Office 250.469.8940 and make another music-lover very happy!
I’m delighted to let you know that CMK has attracted a record number of subscribers for 2026-27, up more than 20% in the last few years. We are very grateful to our many long-time supporters and welcome new subscribers with great excitement. We know you will find this season very rewarding.
If you are purchasing tickets for individual concerts, limited seats are available for the remainder of the season, especially for our star Canadian performers. Jan Lisiecki’s piano recital (November 13) has less than 20 seats available and Constantinople (April 23) has less than 30.
You can order online at
theboxoffice.ca or visit the Box Office in person (hours below).
IMPORTANT NOTE: the Chamber Music Kelowna Society’s AGM takes place on Tuesday, September 29 at 5 pm at the offices of Pushor Mitchell. All subscribers are automatically members of the Society and entitled to attend the AGM. We welcome your participation!
