President’s Letter – October 2026
Hello CMK Friends!
We hope you enjoyed the sold out opening concert this season with James Ehnes and Andrew Armstrong. What an evening it was! Bringing such musical magic to our own Mary Irwin Theatre is why our volunteers work so hard and why our audiences are so loyal!
The Busch Trio
Next up is the Busch Trio on October 17th. Aside from the string quartet, the largest and richest body of chamber music repertoire belongs to the piano trio, which is why our Artistic Director, Patty Tao, tries to include this genre every season. In addition to Debussy and Shostakovich trios, the Busch Trio will perform Tchaikovsky’s masterful Piano Trio – a personal favourite from the Romantic repertoire. The seats are 90% sold so get your today.
AGM News
Chamber Music Kelowna Society recently held our Annual General Meeting and we thank all those who participated. We also thank subscribers Vera Gibault and David Service who have joined the Board this season. It is very important that we bring new voices and perspectives onto the Board each year so our approach remains fresh and creative.
Heartfelt Thanks!
A very special “Thank You” to Peter Campbell who stepped off the Board after many years of stellar service as Secretary. The stability our organization has regained since the pandemic is, in no small part, due to his steady judgement and hard work.
We hope to see you on Saturday, October 17th.
In the meantime, have a Very Happy Thanksgiving!
Diane
P. Diane Bond, President
