President’s Message – August 2024
Hello Friends –
It’s almost time! Right after Labour Day, CMK will be offering an opportunity for advance purchase of tickets to the James Ehnes String Quartet Special on April 24, 2025 to all 2024-25 subscribers on record as of Friday, August 30, 2024. So, if you have not already done so, please purchase your 2024-25 subscriptions as soon as possible and ensure you will receive this invitation in early September!
The Box Office will send an email with an advance purchase code to all confirmed subscribers which will entitle you to purchase online a maximum of 2 tickets per account for the April 24 event before they go on sale to the general public later in the fall. If a subscriber account holds more than 2 subscription seats, you will be able to call or drop by the Box Office to purchase an equivalent number of seats for the Special if you wish.
Because we have such a healthy and loyal subscriber base and because the Mary Irwin Theatre has a capacity of only 320, we have had to think of a way to ensure that all subscribers have a fair opportunity to purchase seats to this assured sell-out event, so we appreciate your patience with this process. Of course, as a current subscriber, you will receive a 20% discount on the Ehnes Quartet tickets just as you do on the Main Series.
August is traditionally our busiest month for subscription sales and particularly for renewals. We have been reminding by phone those who have not yet renewed to do so in the next few weeks, because we don’t want you to miss the deadline and lose your seats! And, if you plan to be a new subscriber this year, you can select from available seats online – and also request a different location if your preferred seats are not presently available. Once the renewal deadline has passed, we will review all requests and do our best to fulfill them.
