Rolston String Quartet

Luri Lee (Violin), Jason Issokson (Violin), Hezekiah Leung (Viola), Peter Eom (Cello)

Chamber Music Kelowna presents Canada’s Rolston String Quartet.  According to Toronto Concert Reviews, “They have achieved an elite status among the continent’s finest string quartets.”  With their debut recording, “Souvenirs,” recently named BBC Music Magazine’s “recording of the year,” this quartet continues to receive acclamation and recognition of their musical excellence.

The Rolston String Quartet was formed in the summer of 2013 at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity’s Chamber Music Residency. The quartet takes its name from Canadian violinist Thomas Rolston, founder and longtime director of the Banff Centre’s Music and Sound Programs.  The Rolston Quartet won first prize at the 2016 Banff International String Quartet Competition, and is the 2018 recipient and first international ensemble chosen for Chamber Music America’s prestigious Cleveland Quartet Award.
